iD Emerging Designer finalists announced

The finalists, who hail from seven different countries, will present their collections at the Lion Foundation arena, Edgar Stadium in Dunedin.

iD event co-ordinator Victoria Muir says the awards are continuing to attract international talent, "representing some of the most prestigious fashion schools in the world", who travel to Dunedin from around the globe to attend.

"For the first time since this international fashion compeition was launched in 2005, we have a finalist from Canada, with an even stronger representation from New Zealand and Australia. Every year I'm amazed at the quality of the entries we recieve, and this year is no different" she says.

This years finalists are:

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology: Carolina Barua, Allison Bell, Jon Cordiano, Katie Dickinson, Christina Exie, Jane Fuge, Chris Ran Lin
